Raspberry Apple Cream Cheese Pie

Some regulars at our pie shop say this pie is better than cheese cake. Sweet, well-matured apples layered with fresh raspberries combine their fruitiness with the richness of cream cheese for a satisfying flavor treat that is not over rich. The crumb topping adds appeal by its harvest-brown color and crunchy texture when baked just so.

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F and use lower rack for baking.
  2. Place frozen pie on cookie sheet or other suitable tray to catch juices.
  3. Bake for 55 minutes at 350° F.
  4. Raise temperature to 400° F and brown, about 5-7 minutes, BUT WATCH CAREFULLY.
  5. Let pie set and then refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
