The Bodhaine Ranch is 15 acres located in what  was called the Fruit
Ridge district of El Dorado County, and dates from the late 19th
century. The previous plantation of pears was replaced with apple
about 1965. By 1982, when a modern commercial kitchen and dinning
room were being constructed, the district had been re-named "Apple
Hill".

A major change was made in 2002 with a shift from conventional to
organic farming practice. We now use pest and disease controls often
found in nature and soil building methods and material that are
environmentally friendly. All farming materials and practices conform
to the National Organic Program and we are inspected annually by
California Certified Organic Farmers; a certifier accredited by the
U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Our reputation for melt-in-your-mouth pie crusts with scrumptious,
rich fillings have brought three generations of families to Bodhaine
Ranch at harvest time.

Since 2003 we have expanded our menu to include pot pies, fruit
cobblers, and blueberry products. New items are added each year.
Come to our special New Recipe Tasting Festival to help us select new
items to be added to future menus.

We invite you to become one of our satisfied customers. Make us a
stop on your weekend touring or vacation. We are open weekends until
the Labor Day weekend when we begin opening seven days a week
until Christmas.
